Cheryl Aldridge is an artist based in Boston’s Beacon Hill. An active participant in Museum of Fine Arts Studio Art Classes since 1994, she has studied with Bill Commerford, Judy Ryan, and Carmella Yager.

After a long and successful career in nonprofit management and development at Old North Church and Historic New England, her faithful Maine Coon cats, Paprika and Wiscky, inspired her to capture their unique personalities on paper, which led to concentrated efforts to do the same for your cherished friends. All portraits are sketched by brush, using rich, intense, French watercolors known for their permanence and lightfastness.

photo of necklace by Betsy Baker

Betsy Baker, Stonehouse Studio, Charlestown--  Betsy hand fabricates one of a kind and limited edition contemporary art jewelry in her Boston studio.  She works primarily in polymer, a synthetic low fire clay that is remarkably versatile and colorful.  Her polymer work incorporates a variety of mixed media surface techniques,  including alcohol inks, acrylic paint, silkscreening and image transfers.  She complements the polymer with hand forged fine and sterling silver that adds dimension and textural contrast to her pieces.

Stonehouse Studio jewelry has a serene feel, achieving a zen-like balance of pattern, color and shape.  The distinctlty asymmetric and organic pieces are simple, elegant and very wearable.

collage by Jessica Burko

Jessica Burko-- Burko's mixed-media artwork incorporates found, recycled, and reclaimed materials with encaustic medium. The artwork brings together the past and the future, attached firmly at the seams. Stitching, collaging, and layering unifies discarded aspects of life, pieces of domestic space, and non-traditional portraits, both real and imagined, resulting in winding blends of dream, fantasy, illusion, and history.

Jennifer Tang-- I am a full-time graduate student with a passion for jewelry-making!  Crafting is my respite after a day full of classes and providing therapy for others. Thank you to those who support my shop and my education and my future in helping others in need!

I am a second generation Chinese American, and so I know what its like to live in a hybrid world, so I try to infuse that influence into my jewelry and art!  Many of my pieces reflect Asian aesthetics with contemporary jewelry designs.  Many of our products are made using vibrant Japanese washi paper that is both delicate and durable, vibrant and intricate.  Most of our items not only make beautiful accessories, but they put the "fun" in FUNctional too! We make jewelry, purse accessories, pillboxes, and handy trinkets that can be used as stocking stuffers or party favors!

painting of north shore, ma, pond and house by julia purinton

Julia Purinton studied fine arts at Harvard College and at the School for Visual Arts in NYC. After many years of corporate & residential mural commissions, her primary focus has shifted to landscape painting. Narrative rather than purely descriptive in intent, her work often elicits emotional responses to changing seasons & shifting light, her preoccupation with transience a reminder that the natural world is both cyclic & impermanent, and our experience of it both fleeting & enduring.

Medium: Oil and mixed media landscapes.
